The light is a choice

This year has been crazier than most. One of intense extremes.

The recent, devastating shooting attack in Sydney's iconic Bondi Beach reveals one of the ugliest human acts possible.

But even in the darkest acts, there is always illuminating light.

- Those who put others first, at risk to themselves.
- The empathy of strangers who hold us in their arms, sharing our hurt. 
- The deep generosity of community, who stand in solidarity for humanity

The dark depths are still there, but it is shrunk and forced to shrivel and hide when confronted by the light. 

So this Xmas and holiday season, I am deeply grateful for the light in our world, and the people who shine so brightly

❤️ the love of family,
❤️ the blessing of children,
❤️ the beauty of joy, connection, and renewal

For the space, so the light can flood all of the sad cracks in my heart. So I am refilled and renewed, and shining bright in 2026.

The light is a choice, which we make everyday.
